Austin, TX DuraSpace is pleased to announce that Erin Tripp will join DuraSpace as the new Business Development Manager on May 1, 2017. Her duties will include pursuing new partnerships, grants, and strategies to grow business for DuraSpace hosted services DuraCloud, DSpaceDirect, and ArchivesDirect. Working with staff and our community, Mrs. Tripp will help cultivate new business opportunities for DuraSpace.

Since 2011, Mrs. Tripp has been involved in the Islandora project; a community supported framework of open source technologies for digital repositories that include Fedora and Drupal.
Mrs. Tripp comes to Duraspace from discoverygarden inc, an Islandora service provider, where she served as a Project Manager, coordinating development for dozens of digital repository projects. She later became discoverygarden's Business Development Manager, overseeing community outreach and sales.
Prior to her work in open source software development, Erin graduated from the University of King’s College (BJH) and worked as a broadcast journalist with CTV Globemedia. She later graduated from the Dalhousie University School of Information Management (MLIS) where she won the Outstanding Service Award.
