Add your voice to the new ARKs in the Open Roadmap and Resources and Value Statement. These new project artifacts describe the product and community resources required to fulfill a sustainable future for ARKS and our value proposition.
The roadmap is designed to welcome people to the ARKs in the Open project, tell them how to get involved in the project, and present a list of short-term, long-term, and aspirational priorities.
As the number of DSpace and Fedora repositories and VIVO installations grow–in 2018 there are more than 2,900 registered worldwide–the desire to learn more about them–where are they, how they are accessed online, what type of content they hold, software versions, specializations etc.–also increases. Answers to these and other questions can lead to greater connections among institutions and repository instances with similar goals and interests.
As part of the Archival Resource Keys (ARKs) in the Open project, we want to articulate and refine the long-term vision for ARK identifiers, starting with the ARK specification, and to collaborate with users on how to achieve it. Incubators of ARKs at the California Digital Library started the process this week by releasing a new Project Vision:

A workshop on Supporting FAIR Data Principles with Fedora was delivered on Thursday, February 22 by David Wilcox, Fedora Product Manager. This workshop provided an overview of Fedora with a focus on how it can support the four FAIR principles: findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. Attendees had an opportunity to explore Fedora features first-hand using a virtual environment. Similar training opportunities will be available at events throughout the year.

The early bird price for Fedora Camp at NASA  ends on Friday, March 16, so be sure to reserve your spot soon! The camp takes place May 16-18. Training will begin with the basics and build toward more advanced concepts – no prior Fedora experience is required. Participants can expect to come away with a deep dive Fedora learning experience coupled with multiple opportunities for applying hands-on techniques working with experienced Fedora trainers. Action Planning VIVO Leadership, Steering and invited guests met March 1 at Duke University to review progress of the VIVO Project over the past three years, consider goals for the coming year, and organize action planning teams to create measurable objectives and monitor progress toward the objectives. Five teams were formed:
